A Unique Creative French Dining Experience Highlighting Kyushu Ingredients

We named our restaurant “Homarebi” with the wish that every day can be a special day for someone.

Our creative French cuisine uses carefully selected ingredients from Kyushu, especially from our local region of Kitakyushu. Chef Tetsuji Yamashita blends the finest of Western and Eastern culinary techniques to create unique dishes.

From appetizers to desserts, seasonal stories are beautifully presented on fine ceramics such as Arita ware.

Our hidden-gem counter-style restaurant with an open kitchen allows you to enjoy the live atmosphere and savor an exceptional dining experience. Whether it’s a special occasion or just an ordinary day, we want every visit to feel like a “Homarebi” — a day worth celebrating.

The Ultimate Menu by Chef Tetsuji Yamashita in Kitakyushu (Kurosaki)

Chef Yamashita left his hometown of Kitakyushu for university and then worked in Tokyo’s restaurant industry, dedicating himself wholly to culinary arts. Through experience with French, Italian, Japanese, and other cuisines, he has gained invaluable skills and insight.

Returning to his hometown after many years, he was inspired by the wonderful local ingredients and pristine waters of Kitakyushu. This fertile environment allows him to create vibrant and profound flavors that can only be found here.

For Chef Yamashita, making people happy through food is the essence of being a chef. At Homarebi, we hope you enjoy French cuisine in a relaxed way and create lasting memories with those dear to you.

This shop is not an extension of the restaurant, but another table where you can bring the spirit of Homarebi into your home.

Every product is delivered with care so that when you hold it, the aroma and lingering impressions of our cuisine come to life again.
